Bible Question: Should we question God? If something bad happens in our lives do we have the right to question God? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Matt 6:10, 26:39, 42, 44, 53; 2 Cor 12:7-10 ... God's day to you, pd4byblood, I don't think we have Biblical grounds to question God for the bad or good he gives us or another. If there is show it to me. We do pray His will be done (Matt 6:10) and we should accept the good and the bad. Read the first two chapters of Job ... including 2:10, where Job said to his wife, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" Paul said, "Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Cor 12:10). Jesus didn't question His Father, except a way out (Matt 6:10, 26:39, 42, 44) ... but He accepted the decision, tho could have got out of it (vs 53). We need to ask God what He wants us to do daily - in good times and bad. Searcher |
