AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him. |
Bible Question (short): Will Christians be judged at our death? |
Question (full): A question my wife was asking me last night as we drove home from Lexington Kentucky after seeing our niece get Baptized. "Being reborn at salvation means that our sins are forgiven. So at the end of our days on earth are we judged? And does Jesus stand in our defense to declare us as one of his own thus protecting us from Gods Judgement?(Imputed Rigteousness) Or are we Judged by God at our death for sins we have committed since our re-birth after accepting the gift of grace?". My wife believes we will be judged but I believe we have taken on the righteousness of Christ, through believing in him, and thus are seen to be pure and spotless as Jesus himself. |
