Bible Question: My dad is a minister and asked me a queston can a person fall from grace. |
Bible Answer: Yes, As the Bible says you can or Jesus would not of told of the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1-7 or several others about the lost coin or the lost son, to me that signifies that we can if we turn our back on him and start doing things our way instead of his way we lose our grace. But then we can come back to him except when we commit the unpardonable sin, of grieving the holy spirit or completely rejecting the holy spirit. That is the only sin that is not pardonable, so any other sin, we can still get back our grace, or salvation. This is my belief anyway. As for the scriptures you list in Hebrews, you have to remember that Hebrews was written to Christian Jews who were thinking of going back to Judism after knowing Jesus. If they did that they they would lose their grace. I believe that if you do lose your grace, you can get it back as long as you ask for forgiveness. I hope this helps, I know I rambled. |
