AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. |
Bible Question:
I don't understand what these verses. Please help. Hebrews 4:15-16 |
Bible Answer: (Heb 4:15 ESV) For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Heb 4:16 ESV) Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Jesus has been tempted in all the same ways we will or could be, so He knows what we are going through, yet He stood strong and can approach Him with the knowledge that He knows and understands. |
