NASB | Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while [by taking on the limitations of humanity], crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering of death, so that by the grace of God [extended to sinners] He might experience death for [the sins of] everyone. |
Bible Question: In the book of Hebrews 2:5-9, it talks about us being bright with Edens Dawn Light. Anyone have any idea what that means? I dug in a little and found out that "Eden" means "delight" or "pleasure". |
Bible Answer: i'm not aware of any reputable Bible translations that include this phrase. i'm assuming that for this question you're using a translation such as the message. my best suggestion would be to stay with a word for word translation that fully conveys the inspired word of God. when you venture into using a very questionable piece of writing, such as the message, you are running the risk of actually thinkning you are reading God's word when, in fact, you are reading something that is entirely attributable to man. |
