NASB | Hebrews 13:17 ¶ Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 13:17 ¶ Obey your [spiritual] leaders and submit to them [recognizing their authority over you], for they are keeping watch over your souls and continually guarding your spiritual welfare as those who will give an account [of their stewardship of you]. Let them do this with joy and not with grief and groans, for this would be of no benefit to you. |
Bible Question:
It just so happenes that the Pastor who I listen to and admire is a National figure. He does not live in my state, so the only way I am able to here him is over the radio or the internet. I really do not believe there is a ministry in my area that will give me the teaching that I respect and love like I get from this well known preacher. Can I rightfully call this preacher my pastor? |
Bible Answer: yes, there is nothing wrong with that. he is feeding your soul by the word of God. You need to find you a church in your own town and have a home Church and fellowship together..you grow from all this. you still call the one on the radio Pastor. and if you find you a Church and he feeds your soul call him Pastor ...but the one that you hear on radio may not come to visit you and care for you as a home Church. Pray about all this..God has the Ans. Mae64 |
