Subject: Define the true church. |
Bible Note: Dear RakPak, So, are you saying that one does not need the ability and education of ancient Biblical languages to render an interpretation of the original autographs of Scripture? That is the clear implication of this kind of this kind of spiritual pride. You see, son, that very same Holy Spirit has been tending to the church now for some 2,000 years. A little bit of study will reveal that those translators are not just educated and able, but many are quite Godly men, in good standing with their churches, and led by that same Holy Spirit. The God of the Holy Scriptures is a rational Being. He does not say one thing to a broad spectrum of saints across history, and then suddenly say something utterly unique to a gathering of folks discontented with their prior affiliations. Believers love the gifts of God (Psalm 119:127). Wise men love instruction (Proverbs 9:8). Mature believers stand firm in doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). Those of the household of faith search out stability and learning (2 Peter 3:14-16). Why not learn together with us, rather than to just peddle an old-fashioned legalism? You needn't adjust your practices and your teachings at home. What you need to adjust are your use of the forum for such things. In Him, Doc |
