AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 12:2 [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. Bible Question: Does it state in the bible that if you have a child out of wedlock, will the baby still be blessed? |
Bible Answer: redangel2828 The only real mention of illegitimate children in the New Testament is Hebrews 12:8 which points out a real danger of missing fatherly guidance in their lives. Hebrew 12:8 is using it to show without correction your like a illegitimate or fatherless child. In the Old Testament there are prohibitions against illegitimate children but in most cases it is referring to children born to one pagan parent. God looks at each of us not our parents, what the child does with his or her life and whether they accepts Christ or not will determine his blessedness. EdB |
