Bible Question: I firmly believe in the existance of a Creator (God), but I am having trouble coming to conclusions about who created God/where God is from. I suppose He Is, but that is not satisfying to me. What is the answer Im looking for? |
Bible Answer: Kerland, God has no origin or beginning. He always was, is now, and ever will be. He is the uncreated Creator, the uncaused Cause, the very essence of Being. If something or someone else had created God, then that creator would be the real God. God is that than which there is no greater. As Colin pointed out from the opening of John's Gospel, "In the beginning, God WAS..." past tense, already existed before what we call "the beginning." God simply is. Emmaus |
