NASB | Hebrews 11:26 considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:26 He considered the reproach of the Christ [that is, the rebuke he would suffer for his faithful obedience to God] to be greater wealth than all the treasures of Egypt; for he looked ahead to the reward [promised by God]. |
Bible Question: In Exodus chapter 2- Was Moses seeking a "reward" and if so what would it be other than Heaven? |
Bible Answer: Heaven was the ultimate reward. In Exodus 2, he wanted justice - then ran. He saw God before he left Egypt (Heb 11:27). Even at the burning bush, he wasn't ready to lead (3:11), tho he may of been crying with his fellow Hebrews. Steve |
