AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:23 ¶ By faith Moses, after his birth, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful and divinely favored child; and they were not afraid of the king's (Pharaoh's) decree. [Ex 1:22; 2:2; Acts 7:20] |
Bible Question: How has Moses' faith changed after experiencing the burning bush. |
Bible Answer: Greetings TanFlipper, At first, Moses came up with every excuse of how he couldn't do the Lord's will, or wasn't qualified (Exodus 4:10-14), so the Lord gave him Aaron, so that Aaron would be his mouth (4:16). However, Moses did finally obey the Lord by going down to Egypt and confronting Pharaoh (5:1). But a time came when Moses no longer felt that he had to rely on Aaron to speak, and Moses finally came to the point to were he could speak to Pharaoh on his own (8:9,26,29). And the staff that Aaron carried (7:9), now was in the hands of Moses (9:23), and Moses found the courage and the faith to carry out the miracles on his own. So, as you could say, not only was the Lord hardening Pharaoh's heart, but he was opening Moses' heart, growing up his faith (Heb. 11:27-29)- even to the point that Moses would do everything that God would command (Exodus 40:16), so that He could use him to lead His chosen people (39:42-43).
