NASB | Hebrews 1:2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 1:2 has in these last days spoken [with finality] to us in [the person of One who is by His character and nature] His Son [namely Jesus], whom He appointed heir and lawful owner of all things, through whom also He created the universe [that is, the universe as a space-time-matter continuum]. |
Bible Question: How do you know for sure if God is talking to you or if it is just you? |
Bible Answer: Kelly_blue: "All Scripture is inspired by God (literally, 'God-breathed') and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3:16]. ..... "God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, [i.e. in many parts of Israel's history and in various ways -- through laws, institutions, ceremonies, kings, judges, prophets] in these last days [from the first to the second advent of Christ] has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world." (Hebrews 1:1,2). You know that God is talking to you when you read His word, the Holy Scriptures. The regenerate believer receives the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the time of regeneration, and it is He, the Holy Spirit, who, as Jesus promised, guides us into all truth, that truth being, as the Bible says (John 17:17), the word of God. --Hank |
