Bible Question: How much is too much when it comes to forgiving someone? |
Bible Answer: Mt 18:21 ¶ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Mt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Here are the clear example of Jesus Christ to Peter of how many time we should forgive. I know it is not a literal seven times seventy, but forgive as you can forgive meaning no limit. But forgiveness is different from tolerance the crime. For example if someone killed your brother you can forgive him but the law has to do with the killer. I dont think we just allow him that next time it is your father or mother he is going to kill and still we forgive him always. God bless, Johnny |
