AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; |
Bible Question: I am reading the bible and I ask God for understanding of his word, can you tell me the first place to start reading the bible should it be in the beginning or should I start in the New Testament? The problem I am having with reading is I get confuse thinking that just because it is the bible doesn't mean God said it. How can I tell who wrote what so when I read I can keep in mind that John said this peter said that and etc. Plese guide me in the right direction |
Bible Answer: Towanda: Thanks for your good question. Many other people may also be wondering about the answer to this question. As far as who wrote what, God is the divine Author of every Scripture. AMPLIFIED 2 Timothy 3:16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration)... As far as who SAID what, the simplest way to tell is to read a translation that uses quotation marks, such as the New International Version, New American Standard Bible, Holman Christian Standard Bible, and English Standard Version, to name but a few. Grace to you, Kalos |
