Bible Question:
Is the entire Bible (specifically Genesis) meant to be interpreted literally? My concern is that I am being a hypocritical by not believe that everything in Genesis happened exactly as written, but still believing that Jesus is my savior. On a friend’s recommendation, I went to answersingenesis.com, but their interpretations left me with more questions/doubts than answers (e.g. Dinosaurs on Noah’s ark?!?). I am curious as to others thoughts on this topic because the more I think on it, the more confused I get. I hope this isn't considered a divisive question, because I really, really need some help. God Bless. |
Bible Answer: Dear Confused - Welcome, friend! Nothing divisive about your question. We all need help in rightly dividing the word of truth. For some excellent perspectives on Genesis from a scientific AND Christian point of view, go to www.icr.org. I think you'll like the web site. I know I do and have profited enormously from it. --Hank |
