Greetings Makarios; Hey Kalos Grace to you! Okay Brother’s in Christ, I have adjusted once again, I have poked and prodded I have given you scripture as well, thank you for bearing with me as well, Take it away Scholars, i'm out of breath! #1Question A lot of the Jews for fear of getting kicked out of the Synagogues Well, they would keep their mouths shut example: John 9: 21 What were their attitudes biblically speaking if you can help me with this? “I say back than it was not cool to speak up, it was not socially acceptable to Speak up even though they knew there Son was blind since birth they did not Want to get kicked out of the group” That was back than Is their any scripture that states in today’s society this same attitude still exists? #2Question When Jesus said to the Jews in John 5: 39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, What were the Jews attitudes here if you can help me? “I say it was more all their life they followed the Torah and their refusal to come to Jesus had to do with of course unbelief and refusal to change their way, That was back than Is their any scripture that states in today’s society this same attitude still exists? fear of change? Bible Answer: Greetings Bronx, We do know that lawlessness is prevalent in today's society: 2 Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way." [ESV] And lawlessness is sin: 1 John 3:4 "Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness." [ESV] But we can be redeemed out of lawlessness: Titus 2:14 "who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works." [ESV] As lawlessness existed back in the times of Paul (2 Cor. 6:14), it still exists today (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Perhaps it is that very same attitude of the Pharisees that causes people to reject Christ. I hope that this helps! Blessings to you, Makarios |
