Bible Question: I was wondering what yall thing about these modalistic monarchians? They are the people who deny the Trinity and say that God is not three coequal coeternal beings??????? |
Bible Answer: Dear Brother Roller, Our Great and Gracious LORD tells us in Leviticus 11:45,"I am the Lord who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy." This,(to me) includes accepting these "MMs" as a "lost person" who does not rightly interpret the Word of God. As a baby Christian myself, I would suggest you turn to 2Tim 2:15,(above)and find the truth in the scriptures. 2Tim 3:16,17 says a lot: All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Now, the scriptures I refer to tell us that one God has existed from historical eternity in three persons, known as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father is God: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (John 6:27) The Son is God: For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (2Pet 1:17) And the Spirit is God: God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. (Acts 2:32,33) this is what I think.Thank You for your interesting question. peace, Tim |
