Bible Note: Hi Jeff, I thought you wrote an excellent answer to NightJay's question. I think much of what you wrote demonstrates "having the mind of Christ". There are, however, a few things in your post I find troubling. Perhaps I missed something. Did NightJay indicate that he felt disrespected? I didn't notice anything disrespectful in responses made to him, although that is only my opinion, and yours, or his, may be different. The reason I mention this is that you have passed judgment on an answer given, that was not given to you, and (to my knowledge) no complaint was made by the recipient. You went on to recommend that NightJay "get used to" being disrespected. Why? Not to say whether this happened or not, suppose it did, can people not change? Can God not work? And there are many people that post. Certainly we are not all the same, are we? You have stated that some on this forum believe that you have to be a Bible scholar to use and benefit from the forum. When Kalos asked who, you declined to answer. May I suggest that if you do not wish to be specific, it would be more fairminded to not open that door? Jeff, with these things aside, I really enjoyed your post. I have enjoyed and profited from our discussions in the past. You have good things to contribute. But who profits from these kinds of comments? Please keep in mind that we are here to build up, and not to tear down. Love in Christ, Mark |
