Bible Question: John 16:2 "there will come a time when men(muslims) will kill you thinking they are doing a holy service for god(allah)"- anyone disagree with this interpetation? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Jimmy! Not agreed my friend! You have added words to the Scripture that are not there in the first place. The context of the passage is quite clear. Jesus is speaking to His disciples (there were no muslims then). He says that they will be driven out of the synagogue, which they were in the first century. He also says that they would be killed, which all of them but one were. To add the thought that this passage is speaking of Muslims is the worst kind of eisgesis. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
