Bible Question: thanks for you response- I am doing a short sermon in bible school on overcoming fear- my mother passed away suddenly in our home on 1/19 and my husband left me on 2.5- but God has given the strenght to move on- any scriptures to pin point my losses- in order to help myself and others |
Bible Answer: Jesus said, "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first." Matthew 19:29,30 All that is important is to follow after Him. Each and everyone one of us have different circumstances, but noone knows these circumstances like Jesus. He is the "searcher of hearts". He "craves" to find believers who trust Him. I lost my mother 2 years ago and I almost thought my marriage was going to be no more. I was at end of rope, and even being a christian, there were times I felt useless. Until I took "one", just "1" step of Faith towards God and He drew so much closer. It is the awesome power of His Spirit that our christian lives so hunger for. In the passage above (and there are others) we need not concentrate on situations before we entrust God. With God, despite we may not know what the outcome would be, everything will work together for His glory! (Romans 8:28) |
