Bible Note: Gretings Makarios I agree. It is essential to know the theological bent of Commentary authors. As we all know, you can go to a Calvinistic Commentary and can get a Calvinistic view on scripture, or you can go to an Arminian Commentary, and get a differing view on certain Scripture. Or you can go to other Commentaries and get some other varied, and slightly different view of the same Scripture. I often quote from Commentaries, when I sense that the Commentary author is correct, and omit him if I sense otherwise. It's best to just believe Scipture, and avoid Commentaries since Commentaries and footnotes can be, and often are misleading. We need to exercise discernment and caution in using them.
