Bible Question: You've probably heard "Money is the root of all evil." What's wrong with that statement? What are some of the ways money can be a trap for the believer? Can you cite anyone in the Bible whose money may have become between him and the Lord? |
Bible Answer: The verse states it is the LOVE of money . . . . Therefore, how you get money, from whom you get money, where you get money, and what kind of money is to be addressed. Solomon comes to mind - he had all kinds of wealth - used it unwisely - allowed foreign women to come to him bringing their gods and Solomon soon went away from God. The two people in book of Acts who lied about giving all their receipts to the Lord and died on the spot. The rich young ruler was not willing to give up his richess and was lost.
