Bible Question: Does it state anywhere in the bible that dads shouldn't be allowed to see or be around their children if they don't have a job? |
Bible Answer: Dear berry, I have to agree with EdB that scriptures have no specific answer to your question except a number of it deals with laziness as EdB has quoted. However, since the world is so much complicated, there is always situation that the father is forced to be unemployed and unable to get a job or serve as food provider and the burden could be on the wife shoulders. The couple should discuss how to plan their family instead. I met a Christian couples who are good example. They have two boys and one is diagnosed Epilepsy. Since the mother has a much secure job, the father decided to stay home for child caring. Apart from taking good care of his children (including Bible teaching), the father has participated in some charity volunteer, led Bible study group, not ceasing to pray for their children. Now, the boy has much improved and the father is back to the workplace. He has never lost his leading status/role at home. I see how they have been trusting God and God's blessings has never ceased to pour onto them. "...whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31b) Shalom Azure |
