Bible Note: Greetings Jeff, Please forgive me, in all "my" getting I like to get understanding...I appreciate your response, I just think I cannot be direct without being direct, if that makes sense. Now, I totally agree with you, as far as your upcoming dinner party, as I have/will be in the same situation. Again, I would be concerned if you are calling yourself a "Christian" representing Christ, and would be hanging in bars, clubs, drinking, etc.with the "very" people you say you are trying to win to Christ. I know we are suppose to hate the sin, but love the sinner as Christ did for us....I feel that we must allow those in our evvironment to come UP to the word of God, and not try to bring the word of God to our standards. I pray I am clear, I simply wanted to express the concern of having a leader with a reputation of drinking, etc, and hanging with people not claiming salvation, and then when I try to witness, they basically say to me, your "leader" I will leave it at that, was just at my house.....I trust you feel me, if not please pray if nothing else...The Bible says judgment will begin at the house of God, and I have heard in about 10 days, very tragic situations concerning people who did as Proverbs 26:11 says, one has been hospitalized with emergency surgery from DUI, and one is dead from a drug overdose..I am just concerning about the body of Christ. My desire is to try to represent him well, try NOT to bring any shame to him, and IF I do, own it, not justify... God Bless, and enjoy your dinner, (smile) |
