Bible Question: How do you explain to someone who says they believe Jesus is God's only begotten Son yet will not acknowledge that Jesus is God incarnate? They believe there is only One God and Jesus cannot be Him. (They are Christian Scientist.) |
Bible Answer: Greetings PJC, 1 Timothy 4:16 tells us to watch our life and doctrine closely.Everything we base our belief on is based on Gods inspired Word,it's not about personal opinion or denominational doctrine. In Jhn 10:30 Jesus states plainly I and the father are one.The Greek word here is heis-single. Have this person read the following verses,Titus 2:13,Heb 1:3 and Col 1:15-17. The bible is pretty explicite here about what you are telling this person. It's up to this individual change his or her mind. They cant change Gods Word to fit their theology, their theology must line up with the bible. Hope this helps. In Christ, lionheart |
