Bible Question: I and another very close friend are getting promise rings. We have made serious sexual mistakes in the past and have recently renewed our commitment to stay pure until marriage. We have decided to get an inscription in the inside of our rings that will remind us why we are doing this. We also would like it to mean something to our future spouses. We plan to give our rings to them when we marry. We have come up with a few ideas and prayed a lot. Any suggestions might be exactly what we have been waiting for God to tell us. I would really appriciate any ideas or any encouragement for the struggles we both face. Thank You. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Phi 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." kristi4252725, greetings. This is a verse that came to mind. Also, set up rules, so that when you are together, you know what is expected. No phyiscal contact may be the way. It will be tough. Dress correctly. Maybe even never be just the two of you. Pray as beensetfree stated. As you leave to meet, the first thing you do together, a well as the last and when you get home ... and each day, for the Lord not to lead you into the temptation. Searcher |
