Bible Question: My Church has had a division we lost all our board members and terrible things were said about our Pastor. I enjoy our Pastor's preaching and believe him to be a very Godly man. If I am wrong will this possibly surface. And will God expose the truth? |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, Jeanne Malt, We don't know all the details and rather not have what happened made public. - Was your Pastor accussed of something? - Did the board members ask him to step down? - How is your church governed? -- Pastor rule -- Elder (board) rule -- Congregation rule ... this will have a big factor in the church's future. Preaching well is not a qualification to be a pastor (1 Tim 3:1) ... and there have been great preachers who should not be a pastor. We will pray as you, your Pastor and church make decisions. S |
