Bible Note: Five places in Scripture it referes to an "episkopos" (Strong's 1985) meaning "a superintendent, i.e., Christian officer in the genative case of a (or the) church (literally or figuratively). In 1 Tim 3:1-7 the "episkopos" is refered to as "husband" (1), "he" (3), "his" (3) and "a man" (1). If these verses are not showing an emphatic teaching by the Holy Spirit through Paul, then what could they possible mean without adding to or subtracting from the Word of God? F51BUZF86 |
