Bible Note: Hi, God's servant! Indubitably means without a doubt--obviously so! As I have said before, God calls all to service for the edification of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)... But not all are call to minister in the office of the priesthood. Paul is somewhat crass about this point, but he is merely testifying to God's selection of man as the vessel of the priesthood. Paul is not saying that Christian females are to be second class citizens--he affirms that a woman cannot occupy the office of the priest. But he also knows that the female, in the Jewish culture, was responsible for the household, including the male children. So crealy, a devoted Christian woman could bring about Salvation to the uniniciate, the unbelievers... However, I cannot convince anyone to obey God or to choose to serve in one form or another... each of us will be called to answer for his/her own actions! God Bless! Angel |
