Bible Note: Dear Joe We must realize that the God of this universe made man in His image and has always wanted fellowship with man. He also knew before he made man that if he gave him the freewill to choose right from wrong that man would inevetabily choose wrong. It was chosen from before the creation that jesus would come to earth and pay the price for man's sin. election as preached by some churches is not what is being taught here. The purpose of election here is that god does not want anyone to be lost and go to hell. After we are saved we need to study as the following verses and the whole second chapter tells us to do so that we won't be caught off gaurd by someone teaching a false doctrine. This may be a bit lengthy but I guess the preacher comes out as I answer questions no apology though I think that if more peolpe were not ashamed to live their life outloud as the songwriter said we would not have so many people who are illeriate in the Bible. May God give you the wisdom you are seeking as youcontinue to study to show your self approved unto God. Pastor tom echols |
