Bible Question: In this verse Paul mentions both spirit and soul as though they are two different entities. I am really having a hard time explaining the difference between them. Please help. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Mat 12:18, 1Co 15:45, 1Th 5:23, Heb 4:12 ... These verses have both in the NT ... While the Bible doesn't exactly mention the relationship between the spirit and soul ... and body ... I see the spirit governs the soul, like the wind does to nature (or a governer on a engine). Our soul is our moral being, inner self. Our body is I base this on the Greek words. Spirit is pneu'ma and soul is is yuchv. This site may help: http://www.christinyou.net/constman.html.
