Bible Note: Prayon May I offer a caution here. You said, "Whenever the illness tries to come back you must go into the warfare mode and deny what the physical is telling you and believe what God has told you and done for you. The devil will always try to use sickness as a way of decreasing your faith in God and your importance to Him." The caution I give is this, first this is getting dangerously close to Metaphysical, deny the facts and speak into existence what you want to be the truth. Nowhere in scripture is this even remotely suggested. When Jesus healed people, they stayed healed, when blind eyes were opened people didn’t go back to being blind the next day. When the John and Peter healed the cripple in the temple, the cripple never expressed any faith. Think about the children of Israel when they left Egypt 400 years of slavery and mistreatment yet the psalms tell us not one stumbled. Yet we know they questioned God every step of the way. Secondly many will use this line of as explanation for why people they have prayed for aren't healed. They sell the idea that the people were healed but Satan deceived them into thinking they weren't hence they are not. This sounds reasonable and makes sense and explains a lot of none healings if you will, but is it fact? I don’t think so. There is not one recorded case where someone lost their healing in the scripture. Many will point to James 1 and being double minded and that is true but let’s look at the scenario once more. Someone is sick they are prayed for and received a healing, in other words they had faith enough to receive but then Satan planted a seed of doubt and they lost it. There is absolutely no scripture to support that. In effect God would be punishing you for doubting after the fact, since you had enough faith to receive the healing to begin with. Some will jump up and claim they have experienced this, again there is no scriptural support for the position but more importantly you come in the realm of Psychosomatic. In others words the people were never really healed they just had a psychosomatic experience and felt better but after the rush wore off and they are back sick again. Don’t let the faith healers convince you can be healed but Satan can steal if from you. Think about this why is a person healed? Is it for the person’s sake or is it to glorify God? I say it is to glorify God but there are many that will say it is both and I can buy that also. In any case how would it glorify God to heal someone tonight and have them hobbling tomorrow? It wouldn’t in fact many might come to believe Satan had more power. When God heals He heals and you stay healed!! EdB |
