AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! [John 14:3; 1 Cor 15:52; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; Col 3:4] |
Bible Question: Will children be taken to heaven during the rapture. How do you know. Where in scripture does it say anything about this. I was told recently that my 4 year old son is going to be left here. He goes to church with me, loves to sing about Jesus and knows that he died on the cross for him, but I know that he doesn't fully understand the concept of getting saved. |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, juliem and welcome to the SBF, Brad is right ... all believers, no matter their age will go to heaven. I was 4 when I was saved. Your son may understand. It doesn't hurt to ask - it is even imperative. Now I believe your question is ... that if he doesn't fully understand the concept of getting saved will he go to heaven when Jesus comes. It is related to if a child dies before they understand - will they go to be with Jesus. Many say yes, others say no. Both sides use Scripture. God knows the answer. That is wahy it is imperative we teach our children when they are young, even before they fully understand the concept of getting saved. We need to be careful not to cause them to think they are saved for the wrong reasons ... sometimes they say YES to Jesus because it is all they have heard. They need to explain, in their own words, what it means to a Christian. Then ask them if they want to be saved. Searcher |
