Bible Note: Kalos Thanks for presenting this to us. But we must remember this is only one point of view. First can we say for certain it is the rapture and not the second coming? That this event is describing an event that will preceed Jesus standing on the Mount of Olives. Second how do we reconcile it with Matt 24:40? Many see this as a separate event however there are also many that can make a good arguement for this passage to be revealing another aspect of the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible does not specifically say there are going to be two separate events it only hints of it. Doesn't Sola Scriptura say we must be convinced by scripture? We might believe this passage is describing the rapture but since scripture does not explicitly say this is the rapture, one must ask where is the convincing evidence it is? EdB |
