Bible Question: HI, TO FORGIVE IS EASILY SAID THAN DONE.ANY GUIDE LINES FOR RENDERING A TRULY FORGIVENESS? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Robert... Good question. Here is how I attempt to walk out forgiveness. 1. Keep in mind that we are commanded to forgive. 2. Remember that no one has ever wronged you more than you have wronged God. 3. Choose to forgive those who have wronged you. 4. Pray for grace to forgive, as it is only possible through our Lord. 5. Act the way you would act toward the object of your forgiveness in a way that you would do when forgiving someone. 6. Use the contrary feelings that will arise from time to time as signals to seek out more grace from the Lord. 7. Express continual gratitude to God who has forgiven us so very much! 8. Forebear with others to the same extent that you have been foreborne by God. It might well be worth reading the book of Colossians as well. In Him, Doc |
