Bible Note: popdzl: Your note was interesting and weel thought out. You are able to get you opinions and feelings out well. May I give you my perspective in response to your note? In no way do my words or expressions represent any other person or this Forum, only myself. The Bride of Christ is the Church. When we belittle the Church we are devoring each other. Yes it is true that a number of demonations have been started by splinters of beliefs. However, so have many churches, and this is not always a bad thing. There are many denomations that have a very good solid theology and do a super ministry. I would never blanket all or most denomations with belonging to racism or nationalism. On the contary Many demonations have done a excellent job at fighting issues of standing against unequality. As for nationism, you have many who served this country to thank that you have the freedoms you have! What is wrong with being a proud nation? Where whould you rather live? I think your judgement of seminary students being exploited into "indoctrination" is seriously flawed. Having made your speculation suggesting that someone who goes to seminary is mearly a human parrot who learned to repeat what they were taught is pure hogwash! You have done the very thing you said was wrong, "they do not know and substitute speculation for truth". Friend you have made statements that are spoken from a position of pure ignorance. Would you be so bold as to expose any one of thoese "EVERYBODY's" that thinks they are right because they went to seminary? I have looked at this forum for a couple of years, and I have found few questions from which no man (or woman) could answer. Your presume wrongly that "What it boils down to is that people will do whatever they want and use anything to justify it. "Where or how do you come to the conclusion? Perhaps what one is so critical of is a problem they have themselves? Friend you are very critical, and present such a negative view of seminaries and those who have attended, and that teachers are false teachers, and openly critical of the Forum and those who use it. I believe the Bible says what is in a mans heart comes out of the mouth, or in your case in print. If you are so down about the Church (bride of Christ) and the churches seminaries and the leadership of teachers, and this forum, why on earth do you spend your time spreading discontent and such negativity and bitterness on this Christian forum? Why not just start a forum of those who hate all the things that so upset you. To be very blunt if you are unhappy with the forum and the people who are answering the questions, then please buy all means leave! No one is keeping you here, you have total freedom to go! May I suggest that if you are so unhappy, that your problems are significantly deeper that you may be aware of. May I use your quote to state how I feel also: "What it all boils down to is that people will do whatever they want to to justify it. Sadly, this is practiced by the Church of Today." Are you not a part of the church today? You, by your own words have made yourself guilty of the things you so dislike. You have in deed and word offended not only those who attended seminary, but the Church, and this Forum. You are truely to be prayed for. Think about this. Any thoughts or applogies? justme PS: my seminary teachers were some of the most humble dedicated loving Christians that I have ever known! No one indoctrinated me either. |
