Bible Question: What is "perpetual reconciliation" ? I was asked this question and i don't know the answer. Please help. thank you, xatzyry |
Bible Answer: Hi, xatzyry... Justification is a legal act (see post #151785), that happens objectively (i.e., outside of us). Because our sin is imputed (charged) to Christ, and His righteousness is imputed to us, we are able to stand uncondemned before a holy God. More than that, though, justification also places us in the Father's loving favor. Hence, we are fully reconciled to God. Perpetual reconciliation is, therefore, the Biblical doctrine that the redeemed are now and forever will be in this blessed standing before our Lord. See also post #152574. In Him, Doc |
