Bible Question: 2 cron.7 14 is this verse apply to us now? |
Bible Answer: This scripture is an answer to Solomon's plea for God to come and inhabit the house Solomon had built for God. A portion of God's answer came in this scripture. It is clearly directed to Israel and for that period of time. Israel chose not to heed God's requirements and as a result, the land was not healed and total healing was postponed until the time of the Millenium. This scripture, as most Old Testement scripture deals with Israel. Scripture directed to the Christian are found in the writings of the Apostle Paul, Col 1:13-15; Col 3:1-4 In Co 1:13 it is clear that we have been translated into the Kingdom of His Dear Son. Not into the worldly kingdom of future Israel, which is during the Millenium. Our land does not need healing. Our land is Heaven. We are a Heavenly people, not earthly. "And God hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." If ye then, be risen with Christ...set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Eph. 2:6; Col. 3:1-3 |
