Bible Note: It was never my intention to imply that our Lord is a "Sugar Daddy". The Lord cannot be manipulated by anyone. However, why not ask the Lord for healing? He may very well be willing to heal. He is certainly "able"! The Lord's will cannot be activated (i.e., manifested) in the earth except by the prayers of the saints. Wouldn't it be a shame to die, needlessly (before our appointed time) because we never exercised our faith in the Lord? Yes, we may be present with the Lord, following your physical death. But, what about the "work" that the Lord may have planned to continue doing in us and through us. The Lord is always growing us in our faith. Why would Jesus tells us that if we had faith to tell a mountain to be removed, that it would be cast into the sea? Why is faith such an important key to living this life on earth? Because we have a very real enemy, who seeks to "steal, kill and destroy". Why roll over for a defeated foe? The Lord does not cause our illnesses; our sins and the devil cause us to experience poor health! And, though He does not cause it, the Lord will use illness to grow our faith in Him!!! Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Eph 6:14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, Eph 6:15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; Eph 6:16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Eph 6:17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Eph 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, Peace! prazn |
