Bible Question: A believer has just been told by the Dr that Cancer is present in his body. The scripture in Jn 2: 14 states that He (Jesus) is our peace. In Jn 14:27 He (Jesus speaking) says Peace I leave with you.... QUESTION: How to walk in peace? |
Bible Answer: I am sorry to hear about your friend. I pray that the Lord will restore his health. In the meantime, the following Scriptures will help: Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Phil 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. In other words, your friend should pray to the Lord about every concern or anxious thought. 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all of our cares (anxieties) upon the Lord because He cares for us. He should fill his mind with pleasant thoughts, including scriptures (especially the Psalms) that specifically address "healing" (e.g., Ps 6:2, Ps. 30:2, 42:11, Ps. 103:2, Ps. 107:20, Ps. 147:3). 2 Cor 13:11 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Peace in Christ! prazn |
