NASB | Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. |
Bible Question: Matt 6:8 says the father already knows what we need before we ask, then why pray? Scripture on that. |
Bible Answer: Hi, LovemyLord7... We pray because we are commanded to pray (Philippians 4:6-8; etc.). It is the means by which we express our dependence and gratitude to our Lord God. I certainly wouldn't want a god who was surprised by my requests -- how about you? :-) In Him, Doc |
