Bible Question: why did euodia and syntyche have a disagreement |
Bible Answer: Dear Lady, Welcome to the forum. There is no mention about the cause or reason of their disagreement. However, one thing is certain that they both helped Paul in his ministry (see Ch 4 v3). Paul did not rebuke their discord, but drew the attention of other church members to help them reconcile. In reality, even brothers and sisters are serving together in ministry earnestly, there always have disagreements. No matter what the causes are (be they of personality, way of treating things, etc.), I think Paul's focus and concern is to keep the unity of Christ's body and also build up the individuals from their weaknesses. See how Paul taught them in Ch 2 verse 1-5. Just my 2 cents. Shalom Azure |
