AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. |
Bible Question: Does the bible teach that the righteous should be rich or poor? How much is too much or how little is too little? |
Bible Answer: Reighnskye, The short answer is that there is no verse that tells us the "right" amount! We know that Phil. 4:11 instructs us that "in whatever state I am, to be content" and that 4:19 promises that "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." I know godly people at both ends of the spectrum- Prov. 22:2. I hope this helps, BradK |
