AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 3:6 as to my zeal [for Jewish tradition], a persecutor of the church; and as to righteousness [supposed right living] which [my fellow Jews believe] is in the Law, I proved myself blameless. |
Bible Question: paul speaks of legalistic righteousness in vs.6. what leaglism are today's chrisians pressured to keep? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Phil 3:2-7 ...................... While we may be pressured to to keep some laws, that is not the point here. Paul is giving his resume before Christ (vv 4-6), including being found blameless in the Law. Then in verse 7, he says, "But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ." Therefore, even if you keep all the legal rules, it should be counted as RUBBISH. |
