Bible Question: I need verses of scripture regarding not turning your back on people who ask for or need help. Thanks |
Bible Answer: This scripture I learned one day after I had said no to someone. I keep this one in mind now and help when asked: Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asks you and from him that would borrow of you turn not you away. Also, Deuteronomy 15:7-8 If there be among you a poor man of one of your brethren inside any of your gates in your land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother: But you shall open your hand wide to him and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wants. Also, Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me. Proverbs 19:17 He that has pity upon the poor lends to the Lord and that which he has given will He pay him again. |
