Bible Note: Greetings dear sister, 2 Timothy 3:12 Infact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in christ Jesus will be persecuted. (NIV) I think there are a lot of individuals that expect that when one is saved all the problems go away.On the contrary,If we are committed to standing faithful we will face opposition. Jesus Said it would happen,so did Peter and Paul. Hebrews 12 tells us how God uses the challenges and discipline of this life to mold and strengthen our character. God oft times will make things or allow things to happen on our lives to draw us closer to him or to bring us back where we've gone astray. I had this discussion with a sister last night. People will walk away from God and all will seem better for awhile but it wont stay that way for long, they will wind up more discouraged and frustrated than before. The devil may not be meessing with them (it may seem that way.) he has no reason to he's already got them. But I will gaurantee that for those who are sold out to God and committed to making a difference there will be opposition, there wll be persecution. But we can be joyful no matter whats going on around us.Our joy and confidence are not dependent on circumstances. God bless you, lionheart |
