Bible Question: Were the dead go immediately to be with our Lord Jesus Christ ? Will they still allow to access to us? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Corin, Verses such as Philippians 1:23-24, 2 Corinthians 5:1-8, John 12:26, 2 Peter 1:14, John 13:36, and 2 Timothy 4:6 help us to understand that death brings us immediately into the presence of Christ - no soul sleep or no purgatory in between. Now, if the deceased in Christ then become a part in 'the great cloud of witnesses' spoken of in Hebrews 12:1, then I suppose that we would at least be able to be a witness to the things that continue to go on in the world, but that is only a guess, and the Bible does not explicitly tell us what we will do, only that we will be with Jesus. Blessings to you, Makarios |
