Bible Note: jcsav Someone has messed with your theology and has you confused. You know what it true but you have been proof texted to the point your confused. They have you so confused, their saying their right and everyone else is wrong. doesn't that tell you something? Think about it since the church is the body of Christ wouldn't Jesus protect it to keep it pure. yet here we have a fringe the Oneness Pentecostals saying they are the only ones that have it right everyone is deceived and going to hell. You know there is one God and that is correct you also know that Jesus prayed to God and that is correct. Think about for someone to pray to someone else both have to exist at the same time. Now Jesus said the Father and I are one. And that is correct. Now let me give you some definitions. The Trinity is the doctrine that there is one God who manifests Himself as three distinct, simultaneous persons. The Trinity does not assert that there are three gods, but only one. This is important because many groups who oppose orthodoxy, will accuse Trinitarians of believing in three gods. But this is not so. The doctrine of the Trinity is that there is one God in three persons. Oneness theology denies the Trinity and teaches that God is a single person who was "manifested as Father in creation and as the Father of the Son, in the Son for our redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in our regeneration." You said you believe God the Father heard Jesus' prayers therefore you beleive the two existed at the same time. Friend that is not Oneness as the definition above shows! Your really a confused trinitarian whose mind is being messed with by Oneness Pentecostals. EdB |
