Bible Question:
Can you please tell where the scripture in the bible is where God will give us houses we did not build and wells we did not dig? I can find "I built houses" everywhere. Thank You |
Bible Answer: Hi, Glg4ever! You do understand that this is a promise to the people of Israel... where Yahweh was implementing His Plan to bring them to the Promise Land and to provide for them as they needed? Sadly, many new age Christians reject the Jehovah Witnesses' claim that we are to remain on earth in perpetuity (whereas heaven is reserved for their chosen 144K), while seizing all of the promises to Israel, even those that were not to trancend their particular place in God's Plan, and projecting them onto Christendom! They are as bad as the Jehovah Witnesses that seek to limit God's Plan by superimposing their definitions and ideologies. Our promised house is with Christ: Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12:26) In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2) The New Promised Land is not an earthly dwelling but a heavenly state! God Bless! Angel |
