AMPLIFIED 2015 | Deuteronomy 32:10 "He found him in a desert land, In the howling wasteland of a wilderness; He kept circling him, He took care of him, He protected him as the apple of His eye. |
Bible Question: I don't get what the "pupil of His eye" is so significant? I'm designing a bulletin board for school, and I want it to say, "Covenant Academy is the Apple of God's Eye", but would like to explain it. |
Bible Answer: Greetings LaurieJean! I believe that it is simply a reference to the need to protect the eye from damage or injury. In a day in which medical abilities were limited, damage to an eye would be most devestating. So, the pupil of the eye was something which was guarded or cared for very carefully. I hope this helps!
